The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Game

For those of you who don’t know about The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Game. It’s a play on the John Guare play “Six Degrees of Separation,” where any two people in the world are no more than six acquaintances or links from another person. In this game, it’s within six degrees, or connections, of the actor Kevin Bacon

Bacon claimed in an interview with “Premiere” magazine in 1994, that he’s worked with pretty much everyone in Hollywood or someone who’s worked with that person.

Soon after three Albright College students came up with the game.

The object of the game  is to start with any actor or actress who has been in a movie and connect them to Kevin Bacon in the smallest number of connections possible.

Thankfully Google’s created a computer algorithm to make this checking of connections very easy. Simply type “Bacon Number” followed by the actor or actress you wish to check & as if by magic their connections to Kevin Bacon are shown.

Example: Bacon Number Charlize Theron

Result: Charlize Theron’s Bacon number is 1  Charlize Theron and Kevin Bacon appeared in Trapped.

It seems a little bit too easy to find the lowest amount of connections to Kevin Bacon using this method, so how about finding the Actor/Actress with the highest number of connections.

Here’s a few of my attempts, I can’t seem to get above 2 connections. I really can’t believe that Christopher Biggins  is only a two.
